IIoT based Augmented Reality for Factory Data Collection and Visualization

In Industry 4.0, machine data acquisition plays an important role in improving overall performance on the factory floor by monitoring processes, providing feedback, and integrating information with other machines. Leveraging these hidden instantaneously to reduce downtime could also minimize efforts determining causes of maintenance issues. This paper explores a novel method bringing into Industrial Internet Things (IIoT) environment visualizing real-time analytics through Augmented Reality (AR) Mixed (MR) based smart devices. The from selective machines at Volvo Group plant was integrated IIoT visualized use AR-enabled devices such as iPad HoloLens headset. configuration process for server automated software solution, feasibility spatial anchors were evaluated testing accuracy, triggering times, latency data. results displayed promising applications AR/MR floors visualization associated troubleshooting.
